| WHAT MAMA SAYS: |
"I am NOT a baker. No way no how. Having practically failed
every math or science class I ever took should have been a clue that
when it was time to provide nourishment for my family that baking
would not be a strong suit. I don't like to measure. I can do it but
I don't like to be controlled so I guess that is why I am a better
cook than baker and that is fine with me. I actually went to
culinary school but that is a topic for another time.
When given sample baking mixes from Kids Central Kitchen to try I
was hesitant, I broke a small sweat because I don't like to waste
food and the fastest way to do that is to burn the cookies!
Then I read the package. It was SO easy I could not believe it and I
didn't have to mess up the kitchen too much either. All I needed to
make my first recipe was a few bananas and a bit of plain yogurt and
I actually had those on hand! What parent in a healthy home with a 2
year old doesn't? Bananas and yogurt are staples here but we don't
always stock baking soda or fancy leavening agents, and I can't be
trusted to always have eggs on hand so when I saw that all of the
dry ingredients were done for me, no eggs were needed, and all that
I had to do was grease a pan and mix it up I was so excited!
Ruby and her daddy enjoyed the baked masterpiece that came out
perfectly brown and I looked like a star. Thanks Kids Central
Kitchen! I am now a baker!"
