It has to be said that the music of our generation is the most powerful to ever hit the airwaves. It has inspired people, been the backdrop to great movies, and is so good that in most cases instead of turning on the radio to listen to what is new, we are popping in CD's and sometimes (gasp) tapes of our favorite artists. We are sharing these with our kids the same way our parents shared the Grateful Dead, Eric Clapton and the Stones with us.

One of the bands we listen to like it's our religion in our house is The Cure. We don't limit ourselves in anyway to Robert Smith and his genius creation, however they are a mainstay in the car and there is always at least one of their dozens of CD's in our 5 disc changer at all times. The music itself is the best part and that is why when a lullaby CD was created by Rockabye Baby! we just had to have it. No words, just the melodies and baby does it rock.

When I am in search for music for Ruby that the entire family can enjoy I turn to The Pokey Pup. Owner Bryan Townsend was inspired to start a store where hip parents like us could be the first on our block to have CD's just like this Lullaby Rendition of The Cure. If The Cure is not your thing how about Lullaby Renditions of Coldplay, Radiohead and even Metallica- no I am not kidding.
